Club Coaching
Our coaching services are offered at 4 different clubs across Melbourne, so there is something for everyone wherever you live in Melbourne.
We are pleased to work with Knox, Lilydale, Park Orchards and Northern BMX clubs to offer quality coaching to members and riders from those areas.
The groups are based on skill, so whether you’re a beginner or elite you’ll be working with likeminded riders at a similar level with the same purpose.
Foundation Sessions
Where the goal is to keep things fun and enjoyable for the riders to allow them to get stoked on bmx. Riders will develop basic skills (pumping, cornering, gate starts etc) to get them to progress into racing in the shortest amount of time possible. Foundation riders will also be introduced quite early to more advanced skills (manualling, jumping etc) so they are familiar with these skills for progressing into more advanced sessions.
Development Sessions
Riders in this session will have their basic skills dialled and will be looking to further develop their more advanced skills. The main goal of these sessions is to get every rider confident and comfortable with manaualling and jumping so they can use them in a race situation and build speed. Riders will also be introduced to advanced concepts such as mental strategies, race day routines and knowledge on the importance of training outside of the bmx track.
Advanced Sessions
Riders in this session should be confident and comfortable in their manualling and jumping skills. A lot of time will be spent developing these skills further (Pro straights, bigger jumps etc) and discussing strategies and ideas to help on race day. These sessions will go into the finer details to help already great riders find that extra 1%.
Bookings
Bookings for all club coaching are handled through myself. Riders can book in via email or messaging through social media channels.
I’m a big believer that rider development is a long term process. Rather than taking bookings week to week, we offer regular spots for riders who wish to attend every week. For riders who can’t commit to a regular spot but would like to jump in from time to time, I’ll post any available spots in my weekly “what’s on” post at the start of the week.
